Ingredients
- Fish (2-3 pieces)You can take any fish
- Potato boiled(1 medium size)
- Onion thinly sliced ( 1 small size)
- Ginger-garlic paste(2tbsp)
- Tomato chopped(1 small size)
- Turmeric pwd(2tsp)
- Red chili pwd(2tsp)
- Garam masala(2tsp)
- Bay leaf(1-2)
- Kalonji/kala jeera(1/2tsp)
- Salt to taste
- Oil and water as needed
Preparation
- Clean, wash the fish and mix with turmeric pwd and salt, keep aside.
- Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the fish till becomes brown.
- Now heat oil in a pan, add oil,add kalonji,bay leaf, onion and saute for 1-2 min.
- Add ginger-garlic paste, salt,turmeric ,red chili,tomato one by one.
- Fry it till oil leaves out ,add little water and again fry.
- Add potato pieces,water, fried fish,garam masala and boil for 2-3 min.
- Now your Fish curry/ Machher Jhol is ready. Serve with steamed Rice.
