Lachha Paratha.


Ingredients
  • Whole wheat flour or Atta (1 cup)
  • Salt (adjust to taste)(1tsp)
  • Ghee or melted butter (5 tablespoon)
  • Luke warm water or milk ( 1/2- 3/4 cup)


Preparation
  1. Take wheat flour/Atta, salt,ghee in a bowl and make it a smooth dough(non sticky) by adding water or milk.
  2. cover it and keep aside for 30 min.
  3. After 30 min, uncover the dough and knead again, divide the dough into 3 balls.
  4. Roll each ball into a circular shape with thin layer.
  5. Brush some ghee or butter on the top of the dough surface,dust some flour on it.
  6. Start from one side,hold the left and right side with the fingers and then starting pleating.
  7. Try to do minimum 6-8 pleats,once you reach at the other end, it will look like a rope.
  8. Close the both ends with your finger tips.
  9. Pick up the rope carefully by holding the the ends, and now twist it, about 5-7 times.
  10. Make it a round shape.
  11. Now start rolling the round shape dough by dusting some flour.
  12. Put it on the hot frying pan and shallow fry with ghee or butter.
  13. After frying you can see the layers of the paratha or you can fold the paratha to see the better layers.
  14. Now your Lachha Paratha is ready. Enjoy with your favorite side dish.
