Ingredients
- Whole wheat flour or Atta (1 cup)
- Salt (adjust to taste)(1tsp)
- Ghee or melted butter (5 tablespoon)
- Luke warm water or milk ( 1/2- 3/4 cup)
Preparation
- Take wheat flour/Atta, salt,ghee in a bowl and make it a smooth dough(non sticky) by adding water or milk.
- cover it and keep aside for 30 min.
- After 30 min, uncover the dough and knead again, divide the dough into 3 balls.
- Roll each ball into a circular shape with thin layer.
- Brush some ghee or butter on the top of the dough surface,dust some flour on it.
- Start from one side,hold the left and right side with the fingers and then starting pleating.
- Try to do minimum 6-8 pleats,once you reach at the other end, it will look like a rope.
- Close the both ends with your finger tips.
- Pick up the rope carefully by holding the the ends, and now twist it, about 5-7 times.
- Make it a round shape.
- Now start rolling the round shape dough by dusting some flour.
- Put it on the hot frying pan and shallow fry with ghee or butter.
- After frying you can see the layers of the paratha or you can fold the paratha to see the better layers.
- Now your Lachha Paratha is ready. Enjoy with your favorite side dish.
