Poppy seed / Posto Tikki



Ingredients
  • Poppy seeds/Posto(1/2 cup,soaked in water for 1 hour)
  • Besan/gram flour(1tsp)
  • Cornflour(1tsp)
  • Onion chopped(2 tbsp)
  • Boiled potato(1 large size)
  • Green chili chopped(1-2)
  • Red chili flakes(optional)
  • Salt to taste
Preparation
  1. Make a fine paste of poppy seeds by adding water.(the paste should be thick)
  2. Take a bowl,add poppy seeds paste,onion chopped,boiled potato,green chili,chili flakes, besan,cornflour,salt and mix all.
  3. Make round shape like tikki.
  4. Heat oil in a flat pan or tawa and put the tikki one by one.
  5. Shallow fry the tikkies till lightly brown.
  6. Take out the tikki on a paper towel.
  7. Now your Posto Tikki is ready. Serve with tomato ketchup.
