Ingredients
- Paneer (200gm)
- Onion sliced (2 medium size)
- Ginger-garlic paste(2tsp)
- Water melon seeds/char magaj (2tsp)
- Cashew nut(5-6 piece)
- Turmeric powder(1tsp)
- Red chili powder(1tsp)
- Garam masala (1tsp)
- Fenugreek leaves/kasuri methi(1tsp)
- Fried onion(optional)
- Butter (2tsp)
- Oil as needed
- Salt to taste
- Sugar (2 tsp)
- water as needed.
Preparation
- Cut the paneer into cubes or as you wish.Keep aside.
- Make a fine paste of char magaj and cashew with some water.
- Heat oil in a pan, add sliced onion,saute for 2-3 min till golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste,salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder.Fry for 4-5 min by adding water.
- Now add magaj and cashew paste and some water to it and cook for a while.
- Now add the paneer, fenugreek leaves, sugar, garam masala and water. Cook for 2-3 min.
- Add butter to it and switch off the flame. If you wish add some fried onion on it.
- Now your Paneer butter masala is ready.serve with Roti or Naan.
