- Chickpeas(1cup) soaked 5-6 hours
- Onion finely chopped (1 medium size)
- Garlic finely chopped(4-5 cloves)
- Ginger finely chopped(1 inch)
- Tomato finely chopped(1 large)
- Turmeric powder (2 tsp)
- Coriander powder (2tsp)
- Chili powder (1 tsp)
- Cinnamon stick(1 inch)
- Cardamom(1-2)
- Salt to taste
- Oil as needed
- Water
Preparation
- In a pressure cooker take shocked chickpeas, salt, water and boil till 3-4 whistles.
- Then take a pan, put oil, when oil becomes hot put finely chopped onion, garlic and ginger.
- Saute it for a while and add finely chopped tomato, salt, turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder, cinnamon, cardamom.
- Fry it for 4-5 minutes and then add some water, leave it for a minute.
- Then add boiled chickpeas and water(according to your consistency of gravy) cook it for few min.
- Now your Chickpeas Masala Curry is ready. Serve it with Roti or Poori.
