- Bhindi/ Ladies finger(1/2 kg)
- Onion finely chopped(1 large size)
- Garlic paste (2tbsp)
- Ginger paste (2 tbsp)
- Tomato finely chopped(2 medium size)
- Turmeric powder (2 tsp)
- Red chilli powder (2 tsp)
- coriander powder (2 tsp)
- Garam masala powder (cinnamon 1inch, cardamom 1-2)
- Roasted peanut powder (2tbsp)
- Sugar (1/2 tsp)
- Salt to taste
- Oil (4 tbsp)
- Water as needed
Preparation
- Wash the bhindi, drain the water and cut 1/2 inch diagonally.
- Take a pan, put 2tbsp oil, when the oil is hot put the bhindis.
- Fry them for 2-3 minutes as it becomes little soft and let them out in a plate.
- Take the same pan, put the rest oil, when the oil becomes hot, put chopped onion.
- Fry the onion till golden brown, then add ginger ,garlic paste, salt.
- Cook them for 3-4 min then add chopped tomato,turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garama masala.
- Fry it well till it leaves oil then add little water, sugar, roasted peanut powder and fried bhindis.
- cook it on low flame 2-3 min.
- Now your Badami Bhindi is ready. Serve it with Roti, Paratha or Poori.
