Gobi Manchurian/Couliflower Manchurian (Indo-Chinese Style)


Ingredients
  • Maida or All purpose flour (1cup)
  • Gobi/Cauliflower(1 )
  • Corn Flour (4tbsp)
  • Black Pepper(1/2 tsp)
  • Tomato ketchup(3tbsp)
  • Chilli Garlic Sauce(2tbsp)
  • Soya Sauce (1/2tsp)
  • Chili garlic paste (1tsp, optional)
  • Vinegar (1/2 tsp)
  • Finely chopped Onion(1/2 cup)
  • Garlic chopped (1 tbsp)
  • Finely chopped Green Chilli (1/2 tsp)
  • Spring onion (2tsp)
  • Sugar (a pinch)
  • Oil as needed
  • Red food color (a pinch, optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Sesame seed for garnishing

Preparation

  1. Take maida in a bowl, add corn flour, add black pepper, salt, add water, stir well and make a medium thick batter .
  2. Cut florets from gobi, deep florets in batter and deep fry till it gets nice golden color from outside. Keep them aside.
  3. Heat up oil, add chopped onion and saute(2-3 min) till onions becomes soft.
  4. Add green chillies, garlic and cook for 30 secs.
  5. Add black pepper, add tomato ketchup, add chilli garlic sauce and chilli garlic paste , red food color,mix well.
  6. Add vinegar, soya sauce, sugar, salt to taste and mix well.
  7. Add 1/2 tbsp of corn flour, add some water, mix well.
  8. Add fried cauliflower fritters, coat well with sauce and cook on high heat for 5 mints.
  9.  Now your Gobi Manchurian is ready. Garnish with spring onion ans sesame seeds. Serve hot as appetizer
