Chickpeas Masala

Ingredients

  • Chickpeas(1cup) soaked 5-6 hours
  • Onion finely chopped (1 medium size)
  • Garlic finely chopped(4-5 cloves)
  • Ginger finely chopped(1 inch)
  • Tomato finely chopped(1 large)
  • Turmeric powder (2 tsp)
  • Coriander powder (2tsp)
  • Chili powder (1 tsp)
  • Cinnamon stick(1 inch)
  • Cardamom(1-2)
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as needed
  • Water

Preparation
  1. In a pressure cooker take shocked chickpeas, salt, water and boil till 3-4 whistles.
  2. Then take a pan, put oil, when oil becomes hot put finely chopped onion, garlic and ginger.
  3. Saute it for a while and add finely chopped tomato, salt, turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder, cinnamon, cardamom.
  4. Fry it for 4-5 minutes and then add some water, leave it for a minute.
  5. Then add boiled chickpeas and water(according to your consistency of gravy) cook it for few min.
  6. Now your Chickpeas Masala Curry is ready. Serve it with Roti or Poori.
