Bhindi With Peanut Powder

Ingredients

  • Bhindi/ Ladies finger(1/2 kg)
  • Onion finely chopped(1 large size)
  • Garlic paste (2tbsp)
  • Ginger paste (2 tbsp)
  • Tomato finely chopped(2 medium size)
  • Turmeric powder (2 tsp)
  • Red chilli powder (2 tsp)
  • coriander powder (2 tsp)
  • Garam masala powder (cinnamon 1inch, cardamom 1-2)
  • Roasted peanut powder (2tbsp)
  • Sugar (1/2 tsp)
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil (4 tbsp)
  • Water as needed


Preparation

  1. Wash the bhindi, drain the water and cut 1/2 inch diagonally.
  2. Take a pan, put 2tbsp oil, when the oil is hot put the bhindis.
  3. Fry them for 2-3 minutes as it becomes little soft and let them out in a plate.
  4. Take the same pan, put the rest oil, when the oil becomes hot, put chopped onion.
  5. Fry the onion till golden brown, then add ginger ,garlic paste, salt.
  6. Cook them for 3-4 min then add chopped tomato,turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garama masala.
  7. Fry it well till it leaves oil  then add little water, sugar, roasted peanut powder and fried bhindis.
  8. cook it on low flame 2-3 min.
  9. Now your Badami Bhindi is ready. Serve it with Roti, Paratha or Poori.
