Chivda/ Poha or chuda Mixture





Ingredients
  • Thin Poha/flattend rice(4 cups)
  • Mixture(Mixture' refers to a savoury snack comprising a mix of roasted peanuts, lentils, green peas, and crispies made gram flour) (3cups)
  • Cashew nut(1/4 cup)
  • Almond(1/4 cup)
  • Dry coconut slice(1/4 cup)
  • Curry leaves(20-25 )
  • Garlic crushed(4tbsp)
  • Dry chili(5-6)
  • Turmeric pdr(3tsp)
  • Roasted cumin pdr(3tsp)
  • Salt to taste
 
Preparation
  1. Take poha in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 10 min but take out the bowl and stir the poha in every 2 min.After 10 min the poha becomes crispy.
  2. If you dont have microwave, you can make it in stove also.
  3. (Take a pan, put poha  on medium heat and stir continuously.After 10-12 min the poha becomes crispy)
  4. Take out the poha in a large and dry bowl.
  5. Heat 3tsp oil,add cashew nut and almond,fry for 2 min and take out in a plate.
  6. Now add crushed garlic to the same pan oil,break the dry chili into it,curry leaves,turmeric,cumin pdr, dry coconut sliced,salt one by one saute for 2 min and then add to the crispy poha.
  7. Add mixture,cashew nut,almond to the poha and mix all.
  8. Now your  Chivda or Chuda Mixture is ready. serve with a cup of tea in the evening.
