Ingredients
- Chicken(1/2 kg.with bone/boneless)
- Onion chopped(2medium)
- Cumin seeds(2tsp)
- Red crushed pepper/red chili flex(2tsp)
- Crushed black pepper corn(1tsp)
- Sugar(1tsp)
- Ginger paste(2tsp)
- Tomato chopped(1medium size)
- Turmeric pdr(1tsp)
- Red chili pdr(1tsp)
- Coconut milk(1/4 cup)
- Lemon juice(3-4 tsp)
- Green chutney(3/4 cup)(See recipe of green chutney below)
Green Chutney
- Coriander leaves(2cups)
- garlic(3-4 cloves)
- Green chili(1-2)
- Cumin seeds(1tsp)
- Lemon juice(1-2 tsp)
- Sugar(1tsp)
- Water as required
- Salt
Making of green chutney
- Take coriander leaves,garlic,cumin seeds,lemon juice,sugar,green chili,salt,water and make a fine paste.Now your green chutney/sauce is ready.
Preparation
- Wash the chicken and pat dry.
- Rub the lemon juice,salt, and red chili pdr on the chicken and keep ta least 1hour.
- Heat oil in a pan,add the red crushed pepper and black pepper.
- Add cumin seeds,when the cumin seeds start to sizzle,add chopped onion and sugar.
- Fry the onion till golden brown.
- Add chicken pieces,turmeric pdr and cook for 5 min.Now chicken becomes brown and oil comes up on the side of the pan.
- Add ginger paste,chopped tomatoes and green chutney/green sauce.
- Stir everything together and cook it for 8-10 min on low flame.
- Add water and coconut milk to it and cook for 2-3 min uncovered and switch off the flame.
- Now your chicken in coriander and red pepper sauce is ready .garnish with some chili flex and coriander leaves.
