Chicken keema Balls Manchurian


Ingredients

  • Chicken Keema(500 gm)
  • Onion chopped (5tsp)
  • Garlic chopped( 4tsp)
  • Ginger chopped (3tsp)
  • Green chili chopped (3tsp)
  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped(1/2 cup)
  • Green bell pepper chopped (3tsp)
  • Carrot chopped (3tsp)
  • Lemon juice (1tsp)
  • Coriander pwd (2tsp)
  • Red chili pwd (1tsp)
  • Black pepper pwd (1/2 tsp)Tandoori masala (1tsp)/ optional
  • Garam Masala (1tsp)
  • Turmeric pwd (2tsp)
  • Dry chili (3-4)
  • Soya sauce (1tsp)
  • Tomato ketchup (3tsp)
  • Red chili paste (1/2 tsp)
  • sugar(1/4 tsp)
  • water (1/2 cup)
  • Oil and salt as needed


Preparation

  1. Take a large bowl, add chicken keema, onion (2tsp), garlic (2tsp), ginger (1tsp), green chili  (2tsp), coriander leaves (2tsp), lemon juice, coriander powder, red chili powder, tandoori masala, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt to taste.
  2. Mix all these ingredients and keep it in the fridge for at least half an hour.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan.
  4. Make medium size balls of the keema mixture.When the oil is hot, put the raw balls slowly and fry in medium high heat till it becomes brown.(see the pic)


 5. Take out them on a paper towel. It will soak the extra oil from the balls.
 6. Now heat another pan, add 2-3 tsp of oil, put dry chili, rest of the chopped onion, garlic, ginger, green bell pepper, carrot.
 7. Saute it for few seconds, add black pepper powder, water, soya sauce, tomato ketchup, red chili paste, sugar, salt.
 8. cook it for few more minutes, add fried keema balls to it.
 8. Toss the balls with the gravy(adjust the gravy according to your taste by adding water) and add some fresh coriander leaves.(you can add spring onion)
 9. Now your Chicken keema balls Manchurian is ready. serve hot with plain rice or jeera rice or any kind of paratha.

  2. If do not have tandoori masala, then make a powder of adding cinnamon, cadamom,nutmeg, colve, black pepper, fenugreek seeds, fenel seeds, dry chili, cumin seeds....
