Preparation
- Chicken (with bone/boneless 1/2kg)
- Onion finely sliced (2 medium size)
- Garlic Paste (2 tbsp)
- Ginger paste (1 tbsp)
- Cashew paste (2tbsp)
- Charmagaz/ water melon seeds paste (5 tbsp)
- Turmeric powder (3 tsp)
- Red chili powder (2tsp)
- Coriander powder (2tsp)
- Garam masala(cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaf)
- Egg bhurji/scrambled egg (1 cup)
- Sugar (2 tsp)
- Oil as needed
- Salt to taste
- water (1 cup)
- Coriander leaves for garnishing
- Butter/ ghee (1 tsp,optional)
- Cream (1 tsp, optional)
Preparation
- Put a pan on flame, put oil, when the oil is hot add the whole garam masala and sliced onion.
- Fry the onion till it becomes golden brown, add ginger garlic paste, salt, turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder.
- cook it for few minutes and add chicken, mix the chicken with the masala properly and cover the lid.
- when the chicken is 50% boiled, then add cashew and charmagaz paste.
- Cook it for 4-5 min on low heat, then add sugar and egg bhurji and water.
- Cook it for another 2-3 min, add butter/ghee(optional), garnish with some coriander leaves and cream
- Now your Chicken Mughlai is ready. Serve with Roti, Naan or Rice.
